Our Cause
We chose to represent San Diego Humane Society for all of our philanthropy events. This came from our love of dogs and our desire to help support the local community.
Sailors Week 2024
Sailors Week is one of Delta Sigma Phi’s most cherished philanthropy events, bringing our chapter and community together for a full week of fun-filled activities to support an incredible cause. This year, we proudly raised $17,000 for the Humane Society, helping provide care, shelter, and resources for dogs in need. Each day featured a unique event designed to engage participants, foster connection, and create excitement, all while supporting our mission to make a positive impact.
Highlights from the week included "Dog Days," where students and community members got to meet and play with adoptable dogs, and the always-entertaining "Pie a DSig," where supporters could show their enthusiasm (and sense of humor) by pieing a fraternity member. With the enthusiasm and generosity of everyone involved, Sailors Week has become more than just a tradition—it’s a testament to the power of teamwork, compassion, and dedication to giving back. Together, we’re making a difference, one paw at a time!
